Osmos が $2.00 だったので買ってみました。Demoが公開されていますので、ちょっと興味のある人はやってみてはいかがでしょうか。このゲームを簡単に説明するとするなら、宇宙での塊魂という例えが分かりやすいと思います。周りの物体を吸収する事がこのゲームのメインです。ただ自分より大きな物体にぶつかると、逆に吸収されてしまいます。

Ruin Games による Torchlight が 2009/10/27 に定価 $20 で発売となりました。Runic Games は、Wikipedia によると、

ゲームは Hack and Slash タイプで、Diablo 2 や Titan Quest 、Mythos に似た感じとなっています。

Lucidity は、LucasArts から 2009/10/7 に発売されました。LucasArts は The Secret of Monkey Island で知っていましたので、どのようなゲームを作るのか興味がありました。Demoは現在出ていないようです。

Lucidity は2Dの横スクロールのパズルゲームです。プレイはちょっと難しめなような気がします。すごくゲームのうまい人が、コレクション要素を無視して、このゲームをクリアするだけなら3時間で終わるという事ですが、実際にはリプレイの要素もあり、楽しもうと思えばもっと長く楽しめると思います。

How long will the game last? More specifically, how many levels are there and how long do they take to get through?

There are 43 levels total ? 27 to get you through the story thread and find out what happens to Sofi and her Nana, and 16 that you unlock along the way. Some of the levels are pretty darn challenging, but it’s worth persevering to watch the story unfold. The story levels can probably be conquered in 3 hours by a new player with ultra-perfect reflexes… but for some of us, it will take much, much longer.

Amanita Design というデベロッパーによる、「Machinarium」のDemoが公開されました。Point-and-Click のタイプのゲームです。発売は10月16日の予定らしいです。

Amanita Designというところは、以前は Flash ゲームを作っていたようです。Samorost と Samorost2 が有名らしいのですが、僕は知りません。今回の「Machinarium」も Flash ベースのゲームとなっています。

発売前の現在、公式ページで Pre-Order が可能です。公式ページから買うと、$3分の値引き、サウンドトラックから5曲の MP3 と5つの Hi-res Pictures、ゲームと共にサウンドトラック、デベロッパーをサポートしている気持ち、が得られるようです。Pre-Order した時点で、5曲の MP3 と5つの Hi-res Pictures が手に入るようです。サウンドトラックはいつ手に入るのかは分かりません。

Amanita Designの Jakub Dvorsky さんは、Amanita Design がより多くのお金を得るために、GamersGate や Steam などから買うのではなく公式ページから買って欲しいと言っています。

the soundtrack will be available probably only as a bonus when you’ll buy the game at our website. I understand you like Steam, but we want to convince people to buy it on our site as we have more money from it then when you’ll buy it from Steam.

Majesty 2 -The Fantasy Kingdom Sim-

2009年9月18日発売となりました。RTSゲームですが、よくある「ユニットを操作する」という動作のないRTSゲームとなっています。

デモが出ていますので、興味のある方は是非やってみてください。Single Missionが二つ遊べます。一つは製品と同じチュートリアル、もう一つはサバイバルしなさいというゲーム内容です。サバイバルは結構難しいので、ちょっと慣れが必要でしょう。しかし、デモ版の制限などはないので製品版と同じ事ができます。
